Web design jobs will be in demand as long as there are websites that need to be built. The role of a web designer is to construct a website. Although different parts and aspects of large websites are often built by whole teams in separate areas, web designers mostly do it all themselves. They are responsible for the artistic look of the site, the layout of all elements and positions, the functionality of the links and multimedia on the site, and the publishing to the web.

You would be required to design, create, and test websites and WebPages. You would be required to maintain the websites into the future. To make yourself a successful web designer, you'll need a pretty good artistic sense, coupled with knowledge and skill in whatever program or code you are using to build the websites.

If you are building your own websites then of course you will usually create all your own content. But it is now very common to find others to provide all art and text content, and for the web designer to take all these provided ingredients and paste into an already-built website template.

Web design jobs will always be there. If you have few skills then you can still build simple sites and make a modest income. If you have deep skills and can build beautiful-looking sites with wide functionality and things happening, you will be very in demand and this is a lucrative job for the highly skilled.
